Truck Roof Drilling System

This system uses three Kuka KR60-HA's to drill the front, back, and inside of a roof for a Daimler (formerly Freightliner) truck. The system has automatic clamping and other features for very rapid load and unload on the jig. Eight hole diameters are made without any tool changes.  A pressure foot applies a force to the stack as it drills, and collects about 99% of the composite dust.  The system drills to roof styles and has several configurations of options.  Each roof has approximately 100 holes, some as large as 30 mm.  The cycle time to load, clamp, drill, unclamp, and unload (that is, start-to-start) is under 10  minutes.
